Legal Battle . . . .

Trawling and Purse seine boat owners approached the High Court against trawl-ban and Purse seine ban. The Federation fought this legal battle and won it. When they approached the Supreme Court, again the Federation fought at the national level and the final verdict favoured the ban. If the Federation had not involved in the legal battle, the boat owners might have obtained a verdict favouring their interests.
