Networking with other Movements . . . .

The Federation also has been networking with and resorting to joint action with other movements like.

• Environmental movements like National Alliance of People's Movements, Narmada Bachavo Andolan, etc.
• Trade Unions like CITU, AITUC, INTUC, Militant Trade Union Movement, etc.

The Federation is also using study findings related on fisheries from South Indian Federation of Fishermen Societies (SIFFS), Programme for Community Organisation (PCO), Fishermen's Community Development Programme (FCDP), Mojaka Jeevaka Munnettam (MJM), Socio Religious Centre (SRC), MCITRA, KSSP, TSSS and Adivasi -Dalit Movements.

The cultural programmes like street drama, peoples' songs, folk forms etc., which were initiated by the Federation energised and provided new spirit to the movement. These cultural programmes, have turned out to be popular means to reach out to the hearts of the public.
